Microsoft’s next flagship notebook, the Surface Notebook 5, is anticipated in the second half of 2022. Even though it isn’t even March yet, WindowsPrime claims to have a complete leak on all of the device’s features.
According to the tech blog, the Surface Laptop 5 will be available in two sizes and with separate Intel and AMD processor options. The design will most likely resemble that of the Surface Laptop 4.

It will be available in 13.5-inch and 15-inch sizes, according to the leak. The 13.5-inch model will feature a screen resolution of 2256 x 1504, while the larger laptop will have a resolution of 2496 x 1664. Both will include a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and PixelSense Flow compatibility from Microsoft.

The Intel Core i5-1240P, Intel Core i7-1280P, and AMD Ryzen 5 6680U CPU processors will be available under the hood of the 13.5-inch model. The AMD Ryzen 7 6980U and Intel Core i7-1280P will be the sole processor options for the 15-inch laptop.
Both laptops will be available with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB SSDs. The AMD processors will be combined with RDNA 2 powered GPUs, while the Intel model will have Iris Xe iGPUs.
The Ryzen laptops are predicted to have a battery life of up to 21 hours, while Intel laptops will only have a battery life of 19 hours.
Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, 2 x USB C ports with USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 4, 1 x USB A, a 3.5mm audio connector, and the Surface Connect port will be available for communication. You’ll get Windows 11 and a free 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 in terms of software. In Matte Black, Sandstone, Platinum, and Ice Blue, the laptops will come with a one-year guarantee.
Pricing is yet to be determined, but we will learn more in the coming months.
