Facebook Messenger, after WhatsApp, is still one of the most popular messaging apps. Due to the outbreak, calls on the app have increased by 40% since 2020, according to Meta.
Meta has made it easier to make calls on the app with a new design change. There will be a dedicated tab for audio and video calls on the function tab at the bottom of the Messenger app. This should make it much easier to locate the call button.

Before the modification, users had to establish individual chat threads for each contact, but now you may do so right from the main screen.
The “Calls” tab will appear next to “Chats,” “Stories,” and “People,” presenting a list of your connections with separate options for voice and video calls for each. It’s a minor tweak, but it’s likely meant to transform Messenger into a calling app as well as a messaging app similar to WhatsApp.
Meta has been releasing a plethora of new features to Messenger since the beginning of the year, including responses, stickers, message-specific replies, and more. Everyone should be able to access the new “Calls” area with future upgrades.
