Honor 60 and 60 Pro Arrive With 120Hz Displays and SD778G+

Honor made a comeback into the smartphone market earlier this year with the release of the Honor 50. It was its first smartphone after splitting from Huawei to bring back Google Mobile Services (GMS), and now the business is on a roll with the Honor 60 series.

The Honor 60 and 60 Pro models are very identical to each other, as they were last time.

Design and Display

The two phones have an OLED display with 10-bit colours, a refresh rate of 120Hz, HDR10, 100 percent DCI P3 colours, and a resolution of 1080p.

The Pro variant has a bigger 6.78″ panel that is curved on all sides, resulting in a bezel-less appearance. The 6.67-inch screen on the standard handset is merely curved on the sides and has a lower pixel density.

Internals and Storage

Similarly to how the Honor 50 was the first to launch the Snapdragon 778G SoC, the Honor 60 Pro is the first to debut the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. It’s still a 6nm processor, but the CPU and GPU run at faster speeds. The vanilla model retains the standard SD778G.

The Honor 60 has 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options, however the Pro only has 256GB storage in all models. Fans will be able to obtain their prized GMS with Android 12 and Magic UI 5.0.

Cameras

The camera settings on the two phones are nearly identical, with a 108MP main sensor, a high quality 50MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro camera. The vanilla model features the identical setup as the pro model, with the exception of an 8MP ultrawide lens. These cameras can record 1080p 60 FPS videos and 4K 30 FPS videos.

Battery and Pricing

The battery characteristics remain the same, with a 4,800 mAh cell that has 66W wired charging and 5W reverse charging.

The Honor 60 and 60 Pro are now available in China for $425 and $580, respectively.
