How to hide chats in WhatsApp without an archive?
Almost all the users of WhatsApp were in a position to hide portions of their discussions, but it’s not always the way it appears.
Up until today, WhatsApp allows you to hide a few chats, but they will emerge whenever a new message arrives and put them back at the top of the list of posts to conceal them.
However, all that changed suddenly, as WhatsApp showed that it has moved to hide chats in a different folder, without archived feeds returning to the main part after a new message has been received.
“Instead of jumping back into your chat list when the new message arrives, we heard that users desire their archive messages to stay hidden away from us,” the firm tweeted.
“The new settings for Archived Chats mean, every archived message thread will now remain in the Archived Chats folder, although a new message is being forwarded to it.”

How to keep messages archived on WhatsApp?
- Open the WhatsApp application
- Tap on the ‘More options’ section on the ‘Chats’ tab
- Select ‘Chats’, then ‘Chats history’, and then ‘Archive all chats’
- In order to send one single chat conversation into the archive section, you must tap and hold on the chat that you want to hide.
