Nokia Smartphones Will Last Even Longer Soon

Nokia’s parent company, HMD Global, has launched an extended warranty programme for its smartphones. Nokia will extend your smartphone’s warranty for an additional 12 months for only $10 (Rs 1,760), allowing you to keep it for much longer.

For the time being, the campaign is only available in the United States, but it is likely to expand to other regions across the world in the future. The extended warranty will cover mechanical and electrical faults in addition to the phone’s initial guarantee duration.

In addition, HMD Global is launching protection options for consumers whose phones are more susceptible to moisture or accidental damage.

There are two types of protection policies available. The first choice provides 14 months of coverage, while the second provides 24 months. These plans will start at $19 and include the extended warranty service without the additional $10 charge.

These insurance plans, nevertheless, do not cover every conceivable calamity. The following incidents have been ruled out by the Finnish company:

  • Damage caused by carelessness, willful wrongdoing, or normal wear and tear.Cosmetic flaws (dent on outer body damage, stripping of color, scratches, etc.)
  • Malware, and damage to accessories are all examples of software concerns that fall outside of the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty.
  • Theft or misplacement of the gadget.
  • Following a fire, insured equipment may be damaged or destroyed.

Only new Nokia handsets that have been activated within the last 30 days will be eligible for the protection service. Only phones activated within the last 90 days will be eligible for the extended warranty plan.
