Sony appears to be gearing up to release the follow-up to last summer’s Xperia 1 III. The new flagship smartphone from Sony, the Xperia 1 IV, was recently depicted in leaks published by Giznext, giving us a solid first look at the device from all angles.
The design be ars an uncanny resemblance to the Xperia 1 III from last year, with the corners being slightly more flat this time. The Sony camera shutter button is located on the smartphone’s lower right side, with the power button with incorporated fingerprint sensor in the middle and the volume rocker above it.
Sony Xperia 1 IV Specs (Rumored)
According to rumours, the Xperia 1 IV will have a 6.5-inch flat display with a selfie camera in the top bezel. The back camera module is similar to last year’s model and features a triple-camera setup, each with a 12MP sensor and an LED flash, including one that appears to be telescopic. A SIM card tray and a USB-C port are located on the phone’s bottom edge.
According to the leaked renders, the Sony Xperia 1 IV will have a headphone port on the top edge as well as front-facing stereo speakers to provide consumers with enhanced music quality. However, there isn’t a single Google Assistant key to be found.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip SoC is expected to power the phone, which will have up to 16GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of internal storage. In comparison to last year’s Xperia 1 III, the battery appears to be getting an increase, going from 4,500mAh to 5,000mAh and maybe capable of 45W rapid charging.
As of yet, there has been no official statement from the corporation about the introduction of this next smartphone.
