Xiaomi’s latest fitness band appears to be offering some significant improvements over last year’s Mi Band 6. In many areas throughout the world, Xiaomi’s Mi Bands are one of the most affordable and popular fitness trackers. According to sources, the business is working on the Mi Smart band 7, which will have a larger display, built-in GPS, a Smart Alarm feature, and other features.
Leaks about this new, next-gen tracker have just surfaced online, revealing some of the device’s key specifications.
Mi Band 7 Specifications (Rumored)
According to a recent revelation by XDA Developers, the first few features of Xiaomi’s forthcoming Mi Band 7 have been detected using a code contained in Xiaomi’s own apps. The codename “L66” and model numbers M2129B1 and M2130B1 indicate that these are the codes for the future fitness band.
It will have a 192 x 490p resolution display with AOD (Always On Display), compatibility for a few watch faces, and a variety of fitness modes, including Aerobics and Zumba. The Mi Band 7 would also include built-in GPS, which has already been seen on Redmi and Xiaomi smartwatches. For the time being, however, the final inclusion of this feature remains a mystery.
Aside from that, the Mi Band 7 is expected to contain a Smart Alarm feature, which would wake you up from a light slumber 30 minutes before your set alarm. The company is also working on adding a Power-saving Mode to the Mi Band 7 to extend its battery life.
The formal launch of this next-generation Mi Band has yet to be announced by Xiaomi, though it may appear alongside the much-anticipated Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Given that the Mi Smart Band 6 was released at the end of March last year, we may hear more about this next-generation fitness tracker in the coming days.
